Privacy Policy
How RTD2 collects, uses, and protects your personal information, under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are
Round Table Durban 2 (“RTD2”, “we”, “us”) is a Round Table club based in Durban, South Africa. Our Information Officer, registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa, can be reached through our contact page.
What we collect
- From any visitor: standard web logs used for security and diagnosing faults.
- From form submissions: the details you provide (name, contact details, and the content of your message or proposal), used only to respond to you.
- From members: contact details, membership history, and CAP fee financial records, used to administer membership. Only authorised officers, such as the Treasurer, can see another member’s financial information.
Why we process it
Public form submissions are processed with your consent, given when you tick the consent box before submitting. Member information is processed to administer the membership relationship. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for anyone else’s marketing.
Where it is stored
Our database is hosted in South Africa. Some service providers (hosting, email) may process data outside South Africa in the course of delivering the service, under contractual safeguards.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is inaccurate or outdated
- delete information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep

Security
Member data is protected with role-based access controls, so a member can only see their own financial information, and an audit trail of changes to financial and membership records. See our accessibility statement for related commitments.
Cookies
We use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in to the member portal. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
